{PROJECT LIFE 2013}

I attempted Project Life last year. I haven't given up yet, but when I got pregnant, well, it kind of went by the wayside. First things first right? :) I think I'm somewhere around week 30. I've got all of the pictures (BELIEVE me I've got pictures!), it's just a matter of getting them into my "album". I say "album" because I'm a digital Project Lifer. None of that messy taping, glueing, sewing, and paper scraps for this gal! So even though last year is not yet complete, I decided not to let that stop me from starting this year!

A lot of my ideas have been taken from Susan Weinroth, I absolutely ADORE her style! However of course I've added my own personal touch. I'm really pleased with how it's coming together so far. I love the color pallet I've chosen. Blues and greens with a little touch of pink, for Miss Abbie and me! :)

WEEK TWO:

And there you have it! Weeks one and two. Last year almost the entire year was captured on my iPhone. This year it's my goal to take my Nikon with me everywhere I go so I can capture the memories in high quality, plus I know it will help me improve my photography skills as well. Not that there won't be an occasional iPhone photo, but you get the idea! :)

  1. You make me want to do project life. My sister is a HUGE Becky Higgins fan and has been talking about project life for years. I follow Becky's blog and see all of the great things she has to offer. But here is my hold up...this will sound so stupid but my fear is that it's too simple LOL! I worry that I will miss being creative. I feel like PL is just a cut a past kind of LO. Do you feel like you are still being creative even though your LOs are so simple?

    1. Definitely Shan! I personally am TRYING to make it more simple, but I'm definitely getting me creative fill as well. I've seen PL layouts that are totally scrapped, just like a regular layout. I've also seen lots like mine that are more of a graphic look with clean lines and not as many shadows. So I guess what I'm trying to say is that you can go as simple or as complex as you want, that's what's so awesome about it!!

  3. Beautiful pages! So inspiring! Is it hard to do PL digitally? I'm not sure what I need to get it up and going, but would you please give me some pointers about how PL digitally works for you? I'm all ears!!! Again, gorgeous work! Makes me less nervous to start PL!

  5. Leslie, I love your pages and your color scheme! Are these pages and cards in your shop or have you created them on your own? I've downloaded all of your freebies and can't wait to get started, I'm just stuck on which papers to go with. Thanks for sharing all of your goodies and ideas with us. You inspire me!

    1. Thank you so much for your sweet words! These papers and cards are not available in my shop yet, but I am working on it and they should be available for sale within the week. As far as the templates (from your other comment) the freebie template is the one I use most, but occasionally I will substitute another if I need different sized photos. Different template options will also be available in my shop. Good luck with your Project Life!! I'd love to see some of your pages when you get them put together!
